Sima Kian Biography

Sima Kian is a classic portrait and figure drawing artist with over 20 years of experience in the field. Her journey in art began at the age of 12 with landscape painting in oil, sparking a lifelong passion for the craft. As she matured, her interest shifted towards portrait drawing, leading her to study under some of the finest artists in Iran. Here, she honed her skills in 3D portrait drawing with a focus on photorealism.

Upon relocating to Canada in her thirties, Sima continued her artistic pursuit by joining the Academy of Realist Art in Toronto. Here, she delved into the realms of portrait and figure drawing, enriching her understanding of human anatomy from a realistic perspective. Sima seamlessly blends her expertise in photorealism and realism to create captivating masterpieces in charcoal and oil on paper or canvas.
